Who operates this website
Dr. Cooper Tutoring is operated by Preston Cooper, Ph.D., from Texas, United States. For privacy questions or requests, email parkgsg@gmail.com.
This policy explains information handled through drcoopertutoring.com and tutoring enquiries made through its published email address.
Information you choose to share
An email enquiry may contain your name, email address, learning goals, school level, or a document you want help with. This information is used to respond, discuss the help you request, and arrange tutoring or document support.
Please avoid sending sensitive student records, identification documents, or medical information in an initial enquiry. Email is handled by the email services involved. Online meetings through Google Meet or Zoom also involve those providers and their privacy policies.
The website has no contact forms or visitor accounts. Its fonts and images are served with the website, rather than requested from Google Fonts or the former WordPress site.
Server information
Your browser sends the hosting server information needed to deliver pages, including your IP address, requested page, and browser information. The hosting provider may record this information in server logs to operate and protect the website.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 for optional visitor statistics. Analytics runs only after you accept through the cookie notice. Ignoring the notice or declining analytics will leave the Google Analytics scripts blocked.
With your permission, Analytics can collect page views, referring websites, visit timing, browser and device details, approximate location, and a cookie-based visitor identifier. This helps explain how visitors use the website. Google states that GA4 does not log or store IP addresses, although it processes them when collecting data. See Google’s description of Analytics data (opens in a new tab).
Google receives the analytics information when tracking is allowed. This website’s integration does not include advertising pixels or remarketing tags. Information processed by service providers may be handled outside Texas, including in other states or countries.
Cookies and your choice
The cookie notice offers Accept all, Decline all, and Choose. You can read the policy without accepting analytics. You can also use the Cookie settings control in the footer to reopen your choice.
| Storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
Consent preference, maple-consent-v1 | Remember your analytics choice in this browser | Local storage remains until you change the choice or clear the website’s data |
Google Analytics cookies, including _ga and _ga_* | Distinguish visits and maintain analytics session information after consent | Google documents a default duration of two years; settings can change that duration |
See Google’s cookie documentation (opens in a new tab). Cookie duration is separate from the retention of analytics records, which depends on the Analytics property settings.
If Analytics has already loaded and you change your choice to decline, reload the page after saving your choice to stop it running on that page. Your new choice is used on subsequent page loads. Declining does not itself erase previously collected information or existing cookies; browser settings let you remove stored cookies and site data.
Without JavaScript, the website’s analytics scripts do not run. Clearing site data also removes your saved consent preference.
Retention and service providers
Enquiry and service information is kept for the purposes of responding, providing requested help, handling follow-up, and meeting applicable legal obligations. You can email to ask about information held about you or to request correction or deletion.
Hosting, email, meeting, and analytics providers receive information relevant to the services they provide. Their own privacy practices also apply to information they process.
Texas privacy requests
You may email parkgsg@gmail.com to ask about your information, request access, correct an error, or request deletion. A parent or legal guardian may make a request concerning a child’s information. Identity or authority may need to be verified before information is disclosed or changed.
Where the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act applies, eligible residents have rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal data. The Act also provides opt-outs for certain sales, targeted advertising, and profiling. Its applicability includes statutory exemptions, including a general small-business exemption; this policy does not assume that every provision applies to this business. Read the Texas Attorney General’s explanation (opens in a new tab).
Requests covered by the Act will be handled within its required response periods and subject to its lawful exceptions. If a covered request is refused, you may appeal by emailing the same address with Privacy appeal in the subject. A decision on a covered appeal is due within 60 days. You may also use the Texas Attorney General’s privacy complaint information (opens in a new tab). These procedures follow Texas Business and Commerce Code, Chapter 541 (opens in a new tab).
Younger learners
Tutoring is offered from sixth grade onward, which can include children under 13. A parent or legal guardian should make the initial enquiry for a child under 13 and manage any consent required for services. A cookie-banner choice does not replace parental consent where the law requires it.
If you are concerned about information supplied by or about a child, contact Preston Cooper at the email address above. For background, see the FTC’s guidance on children’s online privacy (opens in a new tab).
Policy changes
The date above identifies the latest revision. If website tools or information practices change, this policy and the consent notice should be updated to describe them.
Let’s work on your next chapter.
